Herringbone Parquet Repairs & Restoration

The client had a pitch pine herringbone floor and had knocked down a wall to open out the living and dining room. They had also removed the fireplace from the dining room exposing two areas where they wished for us to continue with the herringbone floor. It was easy for us to run the herringbone floor where the fireplace was, but more problematic area was where the wall once was because the herringbone pattern was running in opposite directions. We suggested that we introduce a two block border which would allow the two floors to be brought together.
